Isabel Estate Sauvignon Blanc 2011

Marlborough, New Zealand

Pungent and grassy. The wine is a pale yellow, almost clear in colour. The nose displays ripe kiwi and gooseberry fruit with grassy overtones and some passion fruit characters. The palate has the trademark zingy acidity of Sauvignon matched with some pleasingly weighty fruit. The finish is long and balanced.

Isabel Estate was founded in 1982 and supplied grapes from their Wairau property to the region's leading producers (Cloudy Bay, Villa Maria) until 1994 when they took the logical step to vinify and bottle under their own label.
